One of the most famous hotels in New York City is the Waldorf Astoria New York Hotel and Resorts. Located within walking distance from such popular attractions such as the Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick’s Cathedral,Times Square and shopping at 5th Avenue. From the moment you walk in the lobby you are greeted with a beautiful fragrance of fresh cut flowers. Their first class service is what keeps guests coming back time after time. The concierge is very helpful with directions and great recommendations for nearby attractions, so just ask.
Almost every U. S. President since Herbert Hoover has either lived or stayed there, recently including President Obama. For a whopping $7,000 a night you too can enjoy some history in the presidential suite. Many of the pieces that furnish the 4 bedroom suite on the 35th floor were donated by past presidents.
If the presidential history doesn’t thrill you, maybe the eateries will. They offer many dining choices inside the hotel. Peacock Alley is an upscale fish and seafood restaurant by day/night with an amazing Sunday brunch, located right inside the main lobby. Chic.tv describes it as the “Most Luxurious Brunch in New York”. Diners can enjoy their brunch while listening to live music. For all you steak lovers out there, Bull and Bear is the place for you. With their ginormous portions of USDA Certified Angus Beef® Prime, (first restaurant on the East Coast to serve) you will definitely leave with a full stomach. Don’t forget to stop by the bar before you leave and taste one of their signature drinks like the “Bull and Bear”. Easy enough to remember, right?
With so many choices to dine at, great walking distances to popular tourist attractions and world class history; how can you go wrong? One obvious tip: don’t forget your camera!
